Hi, I’m Dave. I’m an Australian who came to Thailand for the first time back in 2009 and fell in love with the place. I was born and raised in New South Wales and spent the majority of my time there, mostly in Sydney. I have given more than 20 years service to the NSW Police Force, and Australian Army. At this point in time, I am semi-retired, living in Thailand and looking for my next calling.
My wife, Fah, was born and raised in Non Sa-at, Udon Thani, in northern Thailand – otherwise known as ‘Issan’. After attending university in Udon, she went to work in the family restaurant.
We met in an online dating website and we finally met on my third trip to Thailand which was planned to be one week, but I ended up staying for six weeks. We have been together pretty much ever since.
We were married in Australia, late 2010, and early 2011 we got married again in Thailand. My family and friends flew over/up for the wedding. It was truly a great day.
